Online Education
Online Learning Graduation Requirement
The Ontario Ministry of Education has introduced a new graduation requirement for secondary students to complete two online learning credits as part of the 30 credits required for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). It applies to students who entered grade 9 on or after September 1, 2020.

What you need to graduate?
To earn a high school diploma in Ontario, students must:

earn 18 compulsory credits

earn 12 optional credits
-
pass the literacy requirement
-
earn at least two online learning credits

complete a minimum of 40 hours of community involvement activities
Cooperative Education
Cooperative education provides secondary school students with a wide range of rigorous
learning opportunities connected to communities outside the school. It is designed
to recognize and respond to the diversity of Ontario’s student population, and it can
engage all students.
